DECATUR, IL — Liaison Technology Group is continuing to refine what it means to deliver a fully integrated residential experience by expanding and elevating its outdoor lighting capabilities through a dedicated division, Liaison Outdoor Lighting—bringing a more intentional, design-led approach to environments that extend beyond the walls of the home.
While outdoor lighting has been part of Liaison’s broader service offering, this evolution formalizes it as a specialized, design-focused discipline within the company, now represented as Liaison Outdoor Lighting.
As part of this expansion, Liaison welcomes outdoor lighting designer Craig Rudasics to the team. With more than 20 years of experience, Rudasics will lead the development and execution of outdoor lighting across Liaison projects, bringing a design-first perspective rooted in both technical understanding and artistic application.
A graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Rudasics began his career working with Fortune 500 companies before shifting his focus to lighting design. His interest was driven by a deeper understanding of how light impacts mood and environment, including the study of Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.) and light therapy. He later trained under renowned landscape lighting designer and author Jan Moyer, known for her work on California wineries and upstate New York estates.
“Outdoor lighting has often been treated as an afterthought in residential design,” said Rudasics. “My approach has always been centered on creating balance—working toward a natural, ‘golden hour’ look that feels intentional and integrated with the property. When done correctly, lighting completely transforms how a home is experienced at night.”
Rudasics has designed lighting systems for high-end residential properties across Florida, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan, with a focus on homes where architecture, landscape, and setting play a defining role.
Through this expanded structure, Rudasics’ design expertise will be accessible across all Liaison Technology Group projects nationwide—ensuring a consistent, design-led approach regardless of location.
By incorporating outdoor lighting earlier in the planning process, Liaison is able to create a more cohesive result—one where indoor and outdoor environments function as a unified experience. In alignment with the company’s broader technology offerings, lighting will be fully integrated into smart home systems, supporting everything from automated scenes to security and overall property control.
